Artists Bio and statement of work :
I have been creating pottery for the last 20 years and I am self taught but I have studied with artists such as Bryan Quincannon.
My current body of work is all wheel thrown stoneware or Raku fired pottery.
Over the last year I have been exploring many different themes of traditional functional ware but always striving to create unique and interesting pieces.
I love using the potters wheel because it’s difficult. Using a potter’s wheel a person can become proficient over time and create nice stuff but it's a tool that is impossible to master in one lifetime and therein lies the challenge, frustration, passion, satisfaction and excitement of wet hands on a lump of spinning mud.
